Act Two

Digital photos from Thursday's dress rehearsal The passengers gather for the "service" to be conducted by the fake minister "Dr. Moon" in order to help with the conversion of the fake "Snake Eyes" into a model citizen. At first Moony is uncertain of what to do, but Reno cues him in, and he soon gets in the revival atmosphere. The passengers and crew also fall under the spell of the moment, oblivious to half the rediculous things that Moony is spouting. At the point where Moony realizes he and his audience are on a different wavelength, Reno steps in.

Reno: "Wait a minute! Brothers and sisters, I've heard the call. We're here to fight the devil!
Chorus: "Yeh!"
Reno: "And I'm going to lead the fight! There's only one way to fight the devil, and that's to confess your sins." Chorus: "Yeh!" Reno: "Who'll be the first to speak out and say.."I'm a sinner!"

Sir Evelyn, enjoying the outrageous "sins" being offered all around, and sparked by Reno's admission (as she worked the crowd) that she, too, was once a sinner, suddenly volunteers. Standing on the bar counter, he begins to regale the fascinated crowd with his illicit "romp in the rice patty" with a delightful little Chinese girl named Plum Blossom. Just as he reaches the best part, he catches sight of a horrifed Mrs. Harcourt. Sir Evelyn stumbled into silence and quickly sits down, much to the frustration of the crowd. Reno, however, eyes him with interest. "I was worried about you, brother," she says with a smile, "but I feel much better now."

Mrs. Harcourt, trying to turn the attention away from a red-faced Sir Evelyn, suddenly stands up and points to Billy. "It's your turn now, Mr. Johnson" she commands. "After all.. this is all being done for you."
Hope also stands up, and faces Billy. "Yes, Mr. Johnson, they want a confession. Why don't you give them a real one, and tell the truth. Please."
Seeing his chance to redeem himself in Hope's eyes, Billy leaps up in front of the crowd, and tells them that he's not a celebrity, nor the biggest murderer in the world. He's not even Snake Eyes Johnson ... he's really only William C. Crocker, a broken down broker.

Furious at being bamboozled, the Captain immediately orders Billy to be thrown in the brig. As poor Billy is hauled off, Moony leaps up and declares that if the ship wants a celebrity.... well, he's their man. "I'm no preacher" he declares, then poses with pride. "I'm Moon Faced Martin, Public Enemy #13". "Then you're going to the brig with the other imposter!" roars the captain, and Moony is hauled off after Billy, leaving the stunnded audience to try and figure out what happened.
It's time Reno and her Angels step in to save the service.
